Fundraising Concert in Aid of Courteney Leahy-Geasley
Popular Cobh group, Trio, will break with tradition this year with a special Summer Concert, in addition to their annual Christmas Celebration, to be held in Christchurch, Cobh on 7th May 2010. Caroline will be joined by John Daly, Tenor, and Dominic Finn, Piano/keyboard for this one-off performance in aid of a very worthy cause. Courteney Leahy-Geasley has lived in Cobh all her young life and suffers from a very rare condition known as Velo-Cardio-Facial Syndrome, which has many medical implications including cardiovascular defects, feeding problems, immune system problems and growth problems to name but a few. Courteney currently needs continuous medical treatment and will travel to Austria in April to undergo a specialised programme which will hopefully enable Courteney to finally be able to eat orally, as she must feed through a tube in her stomach at present. An American trip is also planned for later this year so fundraising efforts will remain a priority. Trio are delighted to be able to help out in some small way and all of the proceeds raised through ticket sales for the concert will go directly to Courteney and her family. So, even if you don't plan on attending this event, please support this beautiful little girl and buy a ticket! For ticket sales and further details, please contact Caroline at carolinefraher@gmail.com.
